Yoko Ono, Light of Dawn

From 9th March to 17th July 2016, at the Musée d'Art Contemporain of Lyon.

Yoko Ono is above all known to the public for having been the Japanese wife of the Beatle, John Lennon. What is less known is that she is a recognised experimental artist whose work aims to convey a message of peace, gender equality and optimism.

The artist uses writing and music as well as graphic art, video and performance to express herself.

This is the first French retrospective of this multifaceted artist who presents more than a hundred works to be "experienced, seen and heard", produced between 1952 and 2016 on the 3 floors of the MAC.

For the occasion, Yoko Ono has created 20 original and participative works like the Wish Tree.

This modern, pacifist and positive  exhibition is explored like a rejuvenating, poetic and radiant pathway.

L’entrée au MACLyon et à son exposition est incluse dans la Lyon City Card.
